About
Zanne Hanna is a music industry professional with a background in audio engineering and a passion for the music business. Based in south Florida, she founded Heart Wells Records and Publishing LLC in 2022 as an independent songwriter with the drive to forge her own path. While managing her label for her artist project, Zanne writes music for sync and works as a session vocalist, providing expertly recorded and edited vocals to artists in various genres. Through her company, she expands her expertise into multiple corners of the industry, like distribution, licensing, and artist development.
As an independent artist with pop, folk, and electronica influences, Zanne creates from her DIY home studio, with occasional disruptions from orange tabby cat, Ziggy, and year-old Toller puppy, Skipper. She has worked in professional recording studios across the country since graduating from Berklee College of Music, namely The Village Studios in Santa Monica and Power Station in Pompano Beach. While living in Los Angeles she also worked for Boom Box Post as an office manager and assistant sound editor, designing sound for animated TV shows. During this time, she also wrote the soundtrack for the award-winning short film "Only Business” and led the project’s audio post-production.
At Berklee, Zanne earned a dual degree in Music Production and Engineering (MP&E) and Electronic Production and Design (ELPD). She also picked up a minor in Acoustics and Electronics and another in Psychology. She graduated summa cum laude as a Wadhams Music Production Scholar in 2020. Zanne’s multifaceted toolbox is attributed to her inquisitive, adaptable, and resilient nature. She hopes to make a lasting impact in the music industry, letting her creativity and innovation shine through all her work.
Heart Wells is named after her beloved late grandmother.
